A student pilot was found stabbed to death Friday morning in her hotel room at Sheppard Air Force Base, officials said.
The woman, whose identity was not released, had been assigned to the base temporarily and was staying alone in the hotel, said base spokesman George Woodward.
Sheppard, the largest technical training operation in the Air Force, has about 5,000 students on base at any given time, most arriving there after completing basic training at another base.
