IRVING, Texas -- Sigma Medical has formed a venture with Stason Pharmaceuticals, a contract pharmaceutical manufacturer, to create a line of generic drugs. The companies hope to establish a collection of such products, focusing on chronic conditions, by 2006.
The alliance plans to file as many as 10 abbreviated new drug applications before the Food and Drug Administration within the next two years, according to Sigma Medical chairman and chief executive officer Bryan Chance.
